About the Project

The Malheur Equity Stewards, a local group facilitating diversity, equity, and inclusion work in the community, use Bill Grace’s book Sharing the Rock as the framework for their efforts. The group set out to convert the book into a quality audio format so it could reach a wider audience.

Four Rivers Healthy Community serves as the fiscal sponsor for the project, passing funding through as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Funding & Production

  • Estimated cost: approximately $2,000 for the first title
  • Funding sources: a Ford Family Foundation grant, matched by an IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign
  • Audio production: recording work supported by Jordan Ceniga and Quinn Susuki
