Our Work
Four Rivers Healthy Community works across four interconnected areas of impact. Every program, conference, and initiative we run connects back to one of these pillars.
Education
Children who enter kindergarten are ready to learn. Youth graduate from high school. Adults obtain at least a basic education.
Programs: Over 2,000 children across Malheur, Payette, and Washington Counties receive free monthly books through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. The Emerging Leaders Summit annually connects hundreds of high school students across eight communities with leadership development and peer networks.
Livability
Safe housing, strong neighborhoods, food security, accessible healthcare, living wages, and financial stability for all residents of the Western Treasure Valley.
Programs: The Investment in Caregivers Conference supports the region’s paid and unpaid caregivers with education, resources, and community. Cradle to Career aligns local organizations around shared outcomes for children from infancy through career readiness.
Leadership
Entrepreneurship, emerging leaders, mentorship, and policy development that keeps the Treasure Valley moving forward.
Programs: The Emerging Leaders Summit develops the next generation of community voices. The Four Rivers Community Foundation builds local philanthropic capacity to sustain community investment for generations.
Health
Support efforts to better manage chronic disease. Decrease health disparities. Support positive mental health strategies across the lifespan.
Programs: The annual Four Rivers Healthy Community Conference convenes healthcare providers, nonprofits, and community members to advance regional health outcomes. A Healing Space and Sharing the Rock address mental health and wellness at the community level.
